Assistant JV Baseball Coach
The Loomis Chaffee School seeks an Assistant JV Baseball Coach to begin March 26, 2025.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience coaching Baseball with the ability to develop a program that celebrates our mission in preparing student-athletes to be their best self. They are
enthusiastic, fun, and professional and who are passionate about their sport and working with student-athletes.
The successful candidates should possess:
- Competitive level of experience in the sport with good teaching ability and expertise for skills required to the specific coaching position
- Proven ability to exemplify the highest standard of leadership, sportsmanship, and respect
- Ability to attend team practices and games
- Ability to motivate and inspire athletes and work with the Head coach on building a positive culture on the team
- Demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Serve as a positive role model
- Promotion of balanced achievement in all areas of school life for student-athletes
- Compliance with all Loomis Chaffee, Founders League, and NEPSAC policies and procedures.
- Proven ability to work in partnership with students, staff, and parents
Additionally, candidates must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check and must possess or be willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR certification during the season.
The Loomis Chaffee School is an independent, coeducational boarding/day school of 742 students and 150 faculty members, located in the historic town of Windsor, Connecticut. Chartered in 1874, the school provides an academically challenging curriculum within a supportive community that affirms individual beliefs and differences. Need-based financial aid is currently awarded to 34 percent of the student body.
