Varsity Assistant Softball Coach
The Loomis Chaffee School seeks an assistant varsity softball coach for the 2025-26 academic year.
A Loomis Chaffee Girls' Softball coach has experience coaching and mastery of the game. A strong candidate can motivate, inspire, and be a role model for high school students. They are enthusiastic and passionate about their sport, adaptable, and collaborative, working with the coaching and athletic staff.
This position involves assisting the head coach in managing a dynamic program competing in the Founders League, including identifying and helping to recruit mission-appropriate student-athletes, supporting practice and game protocols, promoting the values of sportsmanship and leadership, and collaborating with the college office for players seeking to continue their softball careers at the collegiate level. In addition to serving as the assistant softball coach, a successful candidate may take on other roles on campus, such as teaching or working in an administrative capacity, and may reside on campus with residential life responsibilities. A full-time employee living off campus or a part-time per diem coach may also fill this position.
Desired qualifications include working in a private or boarding secondary school setting; experience coaching softball at a school, club, or collegiate program; and/or having played at the collegiate or high school level.

Additionally, candidates must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check and possess or be willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR certification before the start of the season.
The Loomis Chaffee School is an independent, coeducational boarding/day school of 725 students and 180 faculty members, located in the historic town of Windsor, Connecticut.
