What are the responsibilities and job description for the PLOW DRIVER & OPERATOR | FULL TIME SEASONAL position at Loon Mountain?
Overview :
Perform labor work and operate equipment that pertains to grounds maintenance. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employees job is to get and keep guests.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain a schedule based on weather and operating levels. Weather dictates work schedule during winter operations.
- Assist with repairing potholes and in maintaining parking lots, roadways and access points.
- Maintain and perform all contractual responsibilities contained within Loons snow removal contracts.
- Remove snow from parking lots, roadways, and access points in a safe and efficient manner. Sand and salt as necessary.
- Assist with backhoe, dump truck, pick-up truck with plow / sander and loader.
- Operate backhoe, dump truck, pick-up truck with plow and loader.
- Contribute to team effort by participating in Job Sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and safety of guests and employees; participating in safety meetings; accepting diverse assignments; maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions.
- Perform and document preventative maintenance on equipment used such as but not limited to; checking fluid levels, general housekeeping, and routine greasing.
- Meet service level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate supervisor.
Qualifications :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual must be able to multi-task and is expected to meet deadlines on a regular basis. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
Three to five years experience in a related field / industry.
Valid Drivers License is required. Operator must possess all required Loon certifications pertinent to departmental equipment needs.
