Position Summary :
Product Specialists at LCAM sit at the nexus of the client relationship team (external facing) and the investment team (internal facing). Externally, Product Specialists understand, research and provide information on LCAM's products, capabilities and processes to external requests in the forms of questionnaires, meetings, and request for proposals. Internally, Product Specialists research and analyze the fixed income strategies and portfolios to create internal deliverables for the purposes of marketing, databases, or commentary writing.
A Junior Product Specialist will learn the craft from more senior members of the team and focus day-to-day on responsibilities. In addition to role specific work of a Product Specialist, this team member will be exposed to business management concepts such as sales and marketing, business architecture, and cross team collaboration. Over time, the role has potential to grow into a Product Specialist role, which may include leading client relationships, leading sections of investment discussions, new business discussions. The Junior Product Specialist role entails limited travel, but a Product Specialist role can entail a greater degree of travel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Commentary writing for client portfolios
- Attribution of portfolio returns
- RFP creation and review
- Join investment team meetings to learn about our team's thinking related to market and investment strategy
- Join client, prospect and consultant calls to learn how we interact with external parties
- Manage the follow-up deliverables process for these meetings
- Other tasks as assigned
