We are seeking a reliable and experienced Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in operating heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, and vacuum trucks. Experience with directional drills is a strong plus. This position involves working on various job sites performing excavation, site prep, utility work, and other related tasks.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Safely and efficiently operate excavators, skid steers, vac trucks, and other equipment as needed.
Excavate, backfill, trench, and grade to prepare job sites.
Load and unload materials and equipment.
Follow instructions and site plans to complete projects on time and according to specifications.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors.
Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance tasks.
Adhere to all required safety guidelines and procedures.
Use directional drill for trenchless utility installation (requires experience).
Education & Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment
Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
Experience with directional drilling (Ditch Witch, Vermeer, etc.) is highly desirable
Strong understanding of excavation safety and underground utility work
Ability to read site plans, blueprints, or schematics
Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions
Strong work ethic, communication, and teamwork skills
Hourly $20-25 based on experience
