We are looking for an HR Specialist to join our team and monitor all Human Resources functions. Loop-Loc is a 47 year company manufacturer of swimming pool covers and liners. This is a great opportunity to work 25 – 30 hours per week, Monday’s – Friday’s or Monday – Thursday’s, on a more flexible time scale that meets your needs. Bi-Lingual, English and Spanish are a requirement of this position. HR Specialist responsibilities include preparing compensation and benefits packages, maintaining the company policy manual, and maintaining & updating employee records.
Success in this role requires knowledge of hiring processes, labor laws, and health and life insurance programs. Ultimately, you will foster a healthy workplace by ensuring our HR procedures always run smoothly. Responsibilities
- Prepare and review compensation and benefits packages, including cobra
- Handle all I9 forms and employee documents for new recruits.
- Administer health, 401K, and life insurance programs
- Make sure employee manual is always updated with most recent labor laws
- Implement training and development plans
- Assure all managers plan quarterly and annual performance review sessions for their staff
- Inform employees about additional benefits they’re eligible for (e.g. extra vacation days)
- Update employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment status
- Develop and implement HR policies throughout the organization
- Process employees’ queries and respond in a timely manner
- Assist employees with medical inquiries and collaborate with our broker for answers.
- Stay up-to-date and comply with changes in labor legislation
Requirements
- Bi-Lingual English and Spanish Required
- Proven work experience as an HR Specialist or HR Generalist
- Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), like BambooHR and PeopleSoft
- Solid understanding of labor legislation and payroll process
- Familiarity with full cycle recruiting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills
