Job Title: Physician & Community Liaison
Job Description:
We are a leading Interventional Pain Management and Varicose Vein clinic in the South Loop/Streeterville area of Chicago seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Physician & Community Liaison to join our growing team. This individual will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with referring physicians, their staff, and other key stakeholders within a 3-5 mile radius of our clinic.
Responsibilities:
- Physician Outreach:
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to build relationships with primary care physicians, specialists (orthopedics, neurology, etc.), and other healthcare providers who may refer patients for pain management and varicose vein treatment.
- Schedule and conduct in-person meetings with physicians and their staff, effectively communicating the clinic's services, expertise, and value proposition.
- Develop a deep understanding of referral patterns and identify key influencers within the local medical community.
- Organize and attend relevant medical conferences and events to network with potential referral sources.
- Relationship Management:
- Build rapport and maintain ongoing communication with referring physicians and their staff through regular visits, phone calls, emails, and other appropriate channels.
- Provide timely and relevant information to referring physicians, including patient progress notes, treatment plans, and outcomes data.
- Address any questions or concerns from referring physicians and their staff promptly and professionally.
- Develop and implement strategies to overcome barriers to referrals, such as scheduling challenges or insurance-related issues.
- Collaborate with the clinic's marketing team to develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns to referring physicians.
- Community Engagement:
- Identify and establish relationships with key community organizations and businesses that can serve as referral sources.
- Represent the clinic at local health fairs, community events, and other relevant gatherings.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase brand awareness and generate patient referrals through community outreach.
- Marketing & Reputation Management:
- Work with patients to generate positive Google and Yelp reviews.
- Collaborate with medical device representatives from Medtronic, Nalu, Boston Scientific, and other relevant companies to identify potential referral opportunities and co-marketing initiatives.
- CRM & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all physician interactions and referral activity in the clinic's CRM system.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to referral generation and patient acquisition.
- Provide regular reports to the clinic management team on the progress of physician outreach and community engagement efforts.
- Essential:
- Proven experience in physician relations or medical sales, with a strong track record of success in generating referrals.
- Comprehensive understanding of the healthcare industry, particularly in the areas of interventional pain management and varicose vein treatment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with physicians and their staff.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant technology tools.
- Must reside within the City of Chicago and possess a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
- Preferred:
- Degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Existing relationships with physicians and healthcare providers in the South Loop and Streeterville areas.
