The Staffing Coordinator/Credentialing Specialist is responsible for order, review, investigation, and due diligence of the overall pre-employment process. The goal is to facilitate the necessary steps to determine clearance to onboard candidates in accordance with our client’s Staffing Policy, global standards, and operating procedures.
What does a Staffing Coordinator do?
Staffing Coordinators typically are responsible for the administration, compliance, and monitoring of our client’s global background screening program on all individuals employed, retained, or contracted by our client.
- Processes timely and accurate screenings, background checks and verifications in accordance with the Staffing Policy, global standards, and operating procedures.
- Ensures that service levels are met, and appropriate controls are in place to safeguard data integrity.
- Transactions include, but are not limited to, reviewing/evaluating candidate background check results data against established policies and guidelines.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
The Staffing Coordinator should be completely knowledgeable about all procedures related to onboarding new hires. The essential skills and qualifications are:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Staffing Coordinators are primarily responsible for informing prospective employees about the progress of their pre-employment screenings. They should be able to answer questions specific to the pre-employment process and be considered a subject matter expert. In addition to that, here are some of the general duties and responsibilities:
- Once an offer has been made, responsible for reviewing the application and resume, and ordering the background check based on the position/role
- Reviewing results of the pre-employment screens daily
- Resolving issues with results from pre-employment screens
- Provide hiring managers with explanations of pre-employment screening results
- Provide ongoing support for HR and hiring managers
