Demand Forecaster / Inventory Planner

Starting at $100,000/year bonus

Starting salary is negotiable based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Function

The Demand Forecaster and Inventory Planner is responsible for effective inventory planning to drive product sales, ensuring optimal stock levels by accurately forecasting and anticipating future demand while preventing overstocking and stockouts. This process will include close collaboration with other departments to gain a holistic understanding of company priorities and customer needs.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, business administration, or related field and
• 4 years prior experience as an inventory analyst in retail, warehousing, logistics, or a similar environment
  

Responsibilities

• Forecasting supply and demand requirements to ensure stock availability of new products
• Monitoring proper inventory levels of current products, replenishing stock as needed while preventing overstocking
• Locating opportunities within our product catalog for both product offering expansion and reduction
• Generating purchase orders and conducting general supply chain analysis reports
• Maintain a close relationship with the inventory manager to ensure system accuracy
• Maintain a close relationship with the design director to keep informed on new launches and relevant information that could help with proper inventory projections and discovery of opportunities
• Maintaining and updating records of purchase orders, pricing reports, and inventory records
• Monitor demand via our website systems, ensuring our website has best-selling inventory easily found and accessible for customers at all times
  
  

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of inventory management and e-commerce software/platforms such as Shopify, Shipstation, Inventory Planner, Fishbowl, Zoho Inventory or similar
• Exceptional understanding of inventory management practices such as ABC analysis and cycle counting
• Outstanding analytical, collaboration, logistical thinking, and negotiation abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication, time management, and organizational skills
• Expert in Google Sheets or Excel
• Applicants will need to pass a background check to be hired for the role
  
  

Compensation

• Up to 3.5% yearly performance-based bonus
• 401k option with a dollar-for-dollar match of up to 4% of salary
