What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant position at Lopatofsky and Bense Dental?
We are looking for a team-player who is hard working and has the ability to keep up with some fast paced days. We need someone who can "rock" quick-thinking and prioritizing! The ideal candidate is a fast-learner with sharp eye-hand coordination.
- Responsibilities of the Dental Assistant include:
- Working with the patient coordinator/receptionist
- Continual knowledge of all patients seated and in reception area
- Seating patients, taking blood pressure, medical history reviews
- Taking all appropriate digital x-rays
- Setting up all dental procedures for each patient
- Assisting the doctors
- Breaking down & disinfection of all treatment rooms
- Sterilization of all instruments
- Proper documentation of doctor's consultations
- Proper and complete documentation of all patient procedures
Requirements of the Dental Assistant include:
- Continual availability and reliable transportation
- Ability to work cohesively and professionally with all staff and patients
- Continual presence in treatment rooms with the doctor and patient
- Positive disposition
- Neat penmanship
- Professional in appearance and attitude
- Excellent computer skills
- Completion of Pennsylvania State Board continuing education requirements in dental radiography and child abuse
- Required education two or four year college graduate
