Job Description
Reporting directly to the Dean of Health and Wellness Sciences, the Staff Assistant plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Health and Wellness Sciences Division. This part-time, 12-month position is scheduled for 3 days a week, 24hrs per week, ideal for candidates who are self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for students and faculty within the division office
Provide accurate information and assistance in a professional and friendly manner
Answer and manage telephone communications
Handle confidential documents with discretion and care
Maintain and manage computer databases and filing systems
Create and assemble surveys and related materials
Perform general administrative and office support duties as assigned
Assists in processing program applications
Additional Information
Training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a supportive academic environment while developing valuable administrative skills.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent; excellent communication and organization skills and the ability to learn quickly. The individual should be able to independently perform tasks effectively and in a timely manner and be able to multitask. Experience working in an office setting, and with computers utilizing various programs including Microsoft Office® software (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) and excellent word processing skills required. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge and experience with Canvas, Resource25, SILO, Peoplesoft/Oracle and LCCC campus preferred.
