What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cleaning/Housekeeping (Part time as needed - SUMMER ONLY) position at Lorain County JVS?
SALARY:
Appropriate step on the Cleaning Salary Schedule commensurate with experience and training
REPORTS TO:
Cleaning Coordinator
WORK WEEK/YEAR:
SUMMER ONLY
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of cleaning techniques and materials
Ability to operate a variety of cleaning equipment and machines including stripping machine, power washer, fan, scrubbers, ladders, waxing machines and vacuum cleaners
Available to work a variety of shifts
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Strong work ethic
Ability to work in a team environment
Able to lift objects weighing 50 pounds
Ability to push and pull items weighing up to 200 lbs. on wheels
Excellent physical condition
Self-motivated, self-directed
Able to pass criminal background check
Able to read and understand verbal and written instructions, written warnings and labels
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic computer skills
