Job Title: Fleet Logistics Coordinator

Flex Work Eligible! This position qualifies for the Flexible Work Policy. Employees receive 75 workdays annually to work remote! The initial amount of days is prorated for the first year based on start date.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:
The Fleet Logistics Coordinator role will be responsible for cross-functionally managing all North American Fleet Equipment moves, collaborative oversight with Hamel logistics for all fleet freight movements, serves as the internal office liaison for fleet support needs related to field logistics service activities, and manages the regulatory car registrations and inspections logs for the fleet of rolling stock cars.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Transportation Management
- Manage and track, both on track and over the road, in between contract machine movements and mobilizations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for machine movements in between contracts while maintaining 24/7 communications with internal and external customers on a 24/7 basis while in transit.
- Assist operations management with equipment move route planning to ensure the most cost-effective planning for equipment moves.
- Coordinates the ordering of conductor pilots as needed for on track equipment moves.
- Use a variety of mediums including online customer databases and telephone to keep up to date on machine locations in transit.
- Build relationships with Operations, Supply Chain, external customers and vendors to facilitate movement of equipment in between contracts.
- Liaison of freight delivery to machines when shipping destinations change.
Regulatory Compliance
- Manage fleet equipment car registration through UMLER and routinely audits information for accuracy.
- Provide oversight and optimization of Loram’s North America border crossing events by working cross-functionally with customs brokers and Supply Chain.
Administrative
- Create and process purchase requisitions for invoices, obtain vendor I9s as required, and prepare reports for credit card usage
- Ensure year end shut down locations that have significant tax implications are communicated to the fleet managers for planning purposes.
- Perform other duties and complete special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma
Experience: Minimum 2 years railroad logistics and or transportation
Licenses/Certifications: Maintain Railroad Certifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- A working knowledge of freight logistics
- Knowledge of or ability to quickly become familiar with UMLER software
- Knowledge of computers and software with good word processing skills using Microsoft applications.
- A disciplined work ethic and advocate for Loram’s management mission and vision.
- Ability to maintain a flexible travel calendar.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics

Loram determines compensation based on factors such as skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. Certain positions may be eligible for an annual bonus and paid time off in addition to base compensation.
Starting pay for the position is between $24.65 - $30.81.
