GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:
This position represents the company to outside vendors and internal and external customers. The Receptionist will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate personnel, mail distribution, greeting and directing internal and external customers, and maintaining security protocol for the facilities main entrance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent
Experience: 1 year of related customer service experience and/or training in a highly demanding customer service environment. 1 year of Receptionist/Administrative Assistant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education: Associates Degree
Experience: 2 years Receptionist/Administrative Assistant experience

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Answers telephones and directs callers to the appropriate individual
- Welcomes and directs visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone. Answering or referring inquiries of visitors
- Maintains employee and department directories and updates on a quarterly basis
- Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring Visitor Registration Process, Visitor Sign-in, maintain security awareness and notify the correct personnel when issues arise
- Assists with small projects in other departments when approved by Facilities Manager
- Process Shipping Requests, Daily Mail, and package notifications
- Receives, sorts and forwards incoming and interoffice mail
- Responsible for assisting in processing facilities department invoices and requisition requests
Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments
- Punctual and dependable
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Good interpersonal skills
- Capable of handling difficult situations
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
