The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for driving product quality, cost effectiveness, and safe and efficient equipment operation. This role requires effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage supplier quality plans to minimize risks and ensure regulatory compliance
- Support implementation of quality initiatives and process improvements
- Conduct supplier quality audits and identify areas for improvement
- Provide quality information and data to stakeholders
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Experience: 4 Years Manufacturing, operations, design, supply chain, quality, or regulatory assurance
Licenses/Certifications: Railroad Certifications, American Society for Quality (ASQ) - Member and Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), APICS - Certified Production and Inventory Manager (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
Work Environment:
This role requires occasional travel to supplier sites, which must be accommodated by the selected candidate.
