GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE :
The Engineer I, Electrical is responsible for developing and maintaining electromechanical system designs under the direction of a senior engineer or manager. They provide direction to designers and drafters regarding the documentation of their designs. Provides engineering support to internal and external customers and performs other tasks as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Functional & Technical Skills
- Translate requirements into a system architecture and detailed design.
- Design and integrate industrial automation and control systems including PLC controls, motor controls, and general machine controls.
- Determine feasibility of modifying existing or designing new equipment considering costs, time limitations, and other technical and economic factors.
- Validate designs through analysis and testing

Education : BS in Electrical Engineering
Experience : 0 years experience in developing and maintaining electromechanical system designs.
Licenses / Certifications : Obtain and maintain railroad safety training and credentials

Starting pay for the position is between $61,273 - $76,591.
