As a Rail Equipment Maintenance Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating and maintaining Loram's specialized rail maintenance equipment. This involves performing hands-on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic maintenance, including inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs. You will collaborate with teammates to ensure optimal equipment performance and adherence to safety standards. Effective communication is crucial, requiring strong verbal and written skills, as well as proficiency in English.
This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and no prior rail experience (training will be provided). Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, along with a positive attitude, work ethic, and eagerness to learn and grow. Commitment to safety and industry standards is also required.
The physical demands of this position include walking 5-9 miles per day on uneven terrain, climbing ladders and stepping up 36 inches multiple times daily, lifting and handling tools/equipment weighing 75 lbs, and meeting vision and hearing requirements for day and night operations.
