Lord Abbett is seeking an Alternatives Operations Analyst to support Lord Abbett’s debut CLO platform and broader bank loan and private credit businesses. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring tight integration between Lord Abbett, the CLO Trustee, and the Middle/Back Office Strategic Partner, and will own the reconciliation of data across each stakeholder. Key responsibilities will include trade support, corporate action elections, reconciliation of cash & position breaks, security master and ratings data integrity, as well as regular and adhoc reporting.
We’ll trust you to:
- Support new fund launches by managing operations from the warehousing stage through the Closing & Effective Date, including approval of fund flows
- Review draft indentures for operational readiness and provide feedback to the structuring team
- Monitor trades within the CLO to ensure compliance with CLO indenture.
- Build and support warehouse borrowing bases and manage liquidity.
- Reconcile Lord Abbett’s positions, cash, and security master data with Trustee. Research and remediate discrepancies with an emphasis on documentation and attention to detail
- Review periodic reporting, including responsibility for monthly Trustee reports and quarterly approval of quarterly waterfall distributions with a focus on completeness and accuracy
- Perform ad-hoc requests for portfolio managers and trading desk
- Support trade life cycle for broadly syndicated bank loans and private credit across full suite of relevant products
- Own data integrity responsibilities for indenture compliance and portfolio management system
You'll need to have:
- Thorough understanding of broadly syndicated loan market, life cycle of leveraged loan investments, and nuances around trade settlement and corporate actions
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with strategic partners
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability of identifying and resolving complex problems
- Proven track-record of building and documenting operational processes and controls
- Ability to identify and execute process improvement
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Background in Finance or Accounting
- 3 years buy-side experience in a CLO (preferred) or loan operations role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be proficient in MS Excel. Experience with Python, SQL, and/or VBA is a plus.
- Experience with Private Credit operations a plus
- Strong analytical skills and a dedication to identifying and solutioning root causes of issues
- Experience with CLO indenture compliance systems, ClearPar, LendAmend, & WSO preferred

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $140,000-$155,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
