Job Overview:

Lord Abbett is looking for a talented and experienced Project Manager to join our team to support the continued development of our analytics platforms. We are looking for a team member who is motivated to achieve results, have high standards of quality, and possess a flexible entrepreneurial spirit when faced with scope change. What makes this role interesting?

• The Investment Analytics Technology team is currently making a significant investment in building out credit analytics platforms. This project is still in its early stages, and the candidate will be given significant opportunities to make contributions at the ground-level
• The candidate will have an opportunity to work alongside an established team of developers, quantitative analysts and portfolio managers to create analytics platforms encompassing quantitative modeling, risk analytics, data consolidation and quality control.
• The candidate will work closely with professional investment staff and get an opportunity to broaden their financial knowledge across asset classes, markets and instruments

You'll need to have:

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, or related work experience
• 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager/Program Manager
• Experience working in the finance industry
• Experience managing technology projects involving building fixed income analytics for asset types such as corporate bonds, Treasuries, Derivatives, Sovereigns, Bank Loans, MBS, ABS and CLO
• The ideal project manager will have experience with end-to-end software development projects
• Develop detailed project plans and assignments, track and control the project milestones, activities, and resources
• Manages all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training, and on-time delivery
• Provide senior leadership with reports status updates via live presentations
• Lead cross-functional project teams by prioritizing and coordinating all aspects of project execution
• Work closely with business sponsors, stakeholders and functional owners as needed to ensure well-defined business cases, strategies and project plans
• Experience with market data vendors - Bloomberg, ICE/BAML, Markit, ICE/BAML, FINRA
• Complete project documentation as per PMO best practices and methodology
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong knowledge of analytics / detail oriented / innovative problem resolution
• Experience with JIRA or other workflow tool
• Prior experience or knowledge of Scrum/Agile ceremonies and methodologies

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $160,000-$190,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
