Job Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator will oversee facility maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building systems.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Hires and trains facility maintenance department staff.
- Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of maintenance staff.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the facility’s maintenance.
- Evaluates systems or facility to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
- Implement and maintain maintenance machinery/facility (e.g., predictive, preventative, corrective, and/ or scheduled)
- Develops maintenance procedures and schedules.
- Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Ensures the assigned equipment is in proper working order and available for use in provided software.
- Maintains physical space, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment.
- Receives, manages, and processes work order requests; ensures problems are resolved quickly.
- Drafts and implements preventive maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment.
- Ensure OSHA safety regulations/ standards are followed throughout the facility.
- Participates in an emergency preparedness planning team.
- Manage stock of equipment, spare parts inventory and maintain proper min/max levels
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.
- Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems.
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Preferred:
- Boiler Knowledge
- HVAC experience
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma and some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience required.
- At least Three years of facilities maintenance experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
- Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
