Job Summary
Lord of Life Lutheran Church (LoL) is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA). Lord of Life maintains two worship sites – one in Clifton, VA and the other in Fairfax, VA. Lord of Life is an intergenerational and intentionally welcoming congregation that values transformational service, grounded in the heart of Jesus, for the sake of all.
This position serves as the bass section leader for the Sanctuary Choir at the Fairfax site. They work with both the Director of Music & Worship Production and Accompanist while providing leadership within the choir, teaching and coaching volunteer musicians. They will be required to attend weeknight rehearsals, currently being held Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30pm, Sunday morning rehearsals (starting at 8:30am) and Sunday morning services (ending at 11:00am). They may also be asked to support additional services throughout the church year, such as Christmas Eve, at the direction of the Director of Music & Worship Production.
We are searching for both a Treble voice and a Bass Voice section leader.
Educational and Experiential Requirements:
- Strong musician with a traditional choral background; past experience singing in a liturgical church preferred
- A proven performance record that evidences effective interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, creativity, and an interest in a variety of musical styles

Job Duties:
- Works collaboratively with the Director of Music to provide leadership to the Sanctuary Choir
- Prepares choral anthems, solos, and coordinates rehearsal plans with the Director of Music & Worship Production in advance of rehearsal; attends all rehearsals
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Music & Worship Production

Pay: $150.00 per week
