What are the responsibilities and job description for the Slaughter/Harvest Butcher position at Lorentz Meats?
$2,500 SIGN-ON BONUS!
Objective:
Join our skilled team in skinning, trimming, and inspecting carcasses. Our team of butchers process up to 100 beef or bison per day.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm, Saturday as needed
Requirements:
- Able to utilize knives, saws, and other equipment to perform meat cutting and trimming.
- Desire and ability to follow general food safety practices.
- Breakdown of full carcasses to half carcasses for further processing.
- Willing to work individually as well as in a team.
- Maintain a safe environment- Personal Safety and Food Safety.
- Willing to learn and follow our processes.
- Positive Attitude—makes everyone’s day better, including yours!
- Manufacturing experience is helpful, but not necessary.
