Job Title: Distribution Engineer
Location: Trussville, AL
Overview:
We are currently seeking a Distribution Engineer to join our team in Trussville, AL. The ideal candidate will bring engineering expertise, a strong grasp of GIS mapping tools, and project management capabilities to support electric distribution systems and infrastructure development.
Responsibilities:
- Apply engineering knowledge to support the planning, design, and operation of distribution systems
- Utilize GIS-based tools such as ArcFM or similar technologies for mapping and analysis
- Manage and oversee distribution projects from inception to completion
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient project delivery
- Maintain documentation and reporting using Microsoft Word, Excel, and OneNote
- Communicate complex technical information clearly in both verbal and written formats
- Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic work environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (required)
- Previous experience in electrical distribution (preferred)
- Proficiency with ArcFM GIS Mapping or similar tools (preferred)
- Strong project management experience
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, OneNote)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective organizational and time management abilities
