What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Services Aide position at Loretto Hospital?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Perform preliminary review of payroll and attendance logs to ensure accuracy in preparation for approval by department Director.
- Ensure all departmental storage spaces are maintained in accordance with accrediting body standards and requirements.
- Coordinate ordering of cleaning supplies, chemicals, paper products, office supplies and departmental equipment as needed once reviewed and approved by Director.
- Assists with organizing, logging, recording, copying, and filing of departmental logs, Inspections, Training Logs, communication devices, checklist, duty list, and Monthly Meeting Minutes.
- Coordinate, upload, and file compliance documents to ADP.
- Coordinates with management team to ensure meeting setups and breakdowns requested through the department are completed.
- Prepare paperwork for department orientation, in-services, and all employee related documents.
- Escalates urgent matters to management team both verbally and via email.
- Coordinates and schedules pick up of hazardous materials.
- Assist in gathering documents to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local Regulatory Agencies, and report all finding to Director.
- Secures department supply rooms, storage, offices, etc. after completion of work. Making sure all equipment has been put away in its proper location, department areas are organized and ready for next day/shift.
- Performing assigned clerical assignments; faxing, typing, emailing, phone calls etc.
- Manages the department mailbox and corresponds to communications within 24-48 hours.
- Other duties as assigned.

• Understands and adheres to Loretto Hospital's compliance standards as they appear in the Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
• Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Hospital regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.

• High School Diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
• One year of operations experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Computer skills, facsimile, email and paper management.

There may be periods of stressful, intense concentration with more than average pressure used in a variety of problem-solving situations.
