The Accounting Manager contributes to the growth and success of the Company by providing comprehensive oversight and ensuring consistent implementation of financial operations, policies, and processes. This role contributes to the operations of the company as it relates to management, guidance, and educational support provided to the Accounting Team. The Accounting Manager supervises, tracks, and evaluates the day-to-day activities of the accounting department.
Basic Functions: Work closely with the corporate management team and ownership to implement, streamline, and improve processes and standards for the day-to-day operations of the Accounting department. Implement corporate objectives and initiatives. Train, manage, and support the accounting personnel, and provide feedback on their daily functions and overall performance.
Essential Functions:
Financial Management and Accounting:
- Assure timely and accurate recording of all transactions
- Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day financial activities
- Develop, improve, and issue monthly property management financial records
- Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures or special projects
- Interface with banks and lessors, outside audit firms, liability and casualty insurance agents
- Advise the owner on financial planning budgeting for accounting department
- Effectively communicate and present critical financial matters relating to property accounting
- Contribute to the development of the company’s strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall management of the organization.
- Maintain open lines of communication, keeping the owner informed of all critical issues
- Oversee departmental budgeting, and accounting, to ensure accurate reporting, interpretation, and analysis of financial results in conjunction with forecasts and long-term budget plans
- Responsible for reviewing and maintaining the accuracy of records for property Accounting and the financial functions of the department
- Work with outsourced Accounting firm to assure compliance associated with tax reporting, and internal controls
- Audit and manage all processes within the organization as it pertains to the property accounting health of the business
Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
