Responsibilities

- Assist the Dietary Director with oversight and management all aspects of the dietary department, including food preparation, kitchen management, and food service operations.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
- Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of residents or patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create specialized meal plans for individuals with specific dietary requirements.
- Monitor food production to ensure quality and consistency.
- Train and supervise dietary staff members.
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of food production, inventory, and expenses.

Skills:
- Strong customer service skills to interact with residents, patients, and their families.
- Proficient in food preparation techniques and kitchen management.
- Knowledge of catering principles and practices.
- Understanding of hospitality standards in a healthcare or senior living setting.
- Excellent food handling skills to maintain proper sanitation and hygiene standards.
- Experience in food service management, including menu planning, budgeting, and cost control.
- Ability to coordinate banquets or special events.
- Leadership skills to effectively support a team of dietary staff members.
