Software Engineer III (Back-End Concentration)
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer III with a strong background in Full-Stack AWS development. The ideal candidate will have exceptional back-end expertise while maintaining proficiencies in front-end development. While the role has a primary focus on back-end responsibilities, the role requires comprehensive skills across both domains. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects for Power Grid Operations (PGO) customers, leveraging modern technologies in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Work will involve custom development as well as support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient back-end systems.
* Implement cloud-based solutions using AWS services.
* Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues to ensure optimal system performance.
* Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and best practices.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy new features.
* Perform a mix of software application delivery, custom development, and support tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong experience in Full-Stack development with a focus on AWS technologies.
* Strong experience in back-end technologies, including Node.js, C# (.NET Code & EF Core), and Python.
* Strong experience in Terraform IaC to provision, manage and automate AWS infrastructure.
* Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
* Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.g., GitHub).
* Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to perform self-directed work.
* Strong experience with troubleshooting and debugging complex systems.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
* Some proficiency in front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js will be helpful in this role.
