What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator - 2nd Shift position at Lornamead?
2nd Shift: M-F 3pm - 11:30pm
Lornamead is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Forklift Operator to join our team!
Lornamead, Inc. manufactures and supplies, hair care, skin care, oral care, and bath products in America. The company offers toothpastes, teeth whitening products and oral analgesics for drug chains, and national food retailers. The company is headquartered in New York, with a manufacturing facility in Tonawanda, New York. Lornamead is a US division of Meiyume who is a global beauty company across major cities across the globe.
Your Challenge:
- Conduct daily cycle counts
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Oversee and evaluate stocking procedures
- Train staff on current or new procedures
- Notify management of shortages or other problems that could impact product availability
- Instruct staff on proper procedures for locating and utilizing product inventory
- Check shipping orders for accuracy and quality prior to shipment
- Prepares bills of lading
- Resolve issues regarding shipped orders
- Accepts and signs for deliveries from distributor
- Assists in unloading shipments from delivery truck
- Uses dollies, forklifts, and other moving equipment to transport shipments from loading dock and around warehouse
- Opens boxes and inspects contents of shipments
- Processes returns for any defective or incorrect items
- Ensures that warehouse is clean and organized
- Processes transfers for shipments moving on to another location
- Backup for other warehousing functions as needed
Qualifications:
- 1-5 years warehouse experience
- High School diploma
- Basic Microsoft Office Skills
- Forklift experience
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Standing/walking for long periods of time
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.75 per hour
