Lornamead is currently seeking a Production Group Leader to join our team!
2nd shift: 3pm - 11:30pm M-F
Lornamead, Inc. manufactures and supplies, hair care, skin care, oral care, and bath products in America. The company offers toothpastes, teeth whitening products and oral analgesics for drug chains, and national food retailers. The company is headquartered in New York, with a manufacturing facility in Tonawanda, New York. Lornamead is a US division of LF Beauty who is a global beauty company across major cities across the globe.
YOUR CHALLENGE
- Supports the Production Supervisor to achieve shift objectives
- Assign crews to lines in accordance to manufacturing schedule
- Helps coordinate staffing requirement with Production Supervisor and temporary staffing agency (Remedy)
- Ensures accuracy of set-up and approves start up by signing in lines
- Performs daily equipment verification checks
- Ensures staging of components to lines
- Assist with on the job training of personnel
- Ensures samples are taken and provided to Quality Systems
- Oversees line operation and lot change over processes
- Prints and verifies accuracy of labels
- Reviews finished documentation for accuracy
- Enters production data into ERP QAD system
- Generates deviation/nonconforming/variance reports as necessary in accordance to quality policies
- Identifies and executes process improvement initiatives
- Promotes a positive, safe workplace
- Coordinates manufacturing issues with other departments
- Ensures production schedules are achieved
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of applicable experience in GMP pharmaceuticals, food or similar manufacturing industry.
- Ability to wear required “personal protective equipment”
- Good mechanical abilities
- Good math skills
- Good documentation skills
- Excellent attendance
