SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are looking for General Laborers to take up manual labor tasks and support our operations on worksites.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Follows instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks such as raking and shoveling
- Cleans up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material
- Handles and transports materials and equipment (ex: drills, rakes, tools)
- Pinning for curb and setting string lines
- Assists with concrete pours
- Use of power tools and machinery when/as needed
- Responsible for the placement of rebar, wire and plastic when/as needed
- Adheres strictly to established safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Performs additional tasks and duties as required to support project requirements
- Follows all company rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 18 years of age
- Possesses a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to reach assigned job sites
- Basic understanding of construction principles and concrete work
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Familiarity with power tools is a plus
- Performs physical activities requiring significant use of arms, legs, and full body movement, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and material handling
- Understands and complies with both oral and written instructions
- Maintains effective working relationships with coworkers, subcontractors, vendors, and others encountered during work
- Executes various manual tasks for extended periods, even in unfavorable weather conditions
- Arrives punctually for work with all necessary tools prepared
- Ability to pass DOT pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening
