Yard Hand

Lorusso Heavy Equipment (LHE) is looking for a yard hand / entry level off road equipment technician. We are a growing construction equipment dealer looking for a highly qualified candidate for an in house service position with the following qualifications and qualities:

• A High School Diploma or GED
• Basic Understanding of diesel engines and how they work OR experience in auto or small engine maintenance.
• Ability to weld and fabricate a plus
• Painting tanks, maintaining rental equipment, keeping yard, shop and office cleaned/organized on a daily basis; other duties as assigned.
• Responsible for driving company vehicles and operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Inspect equipment on a consistent basis to ensure quality and adherence to company policy; Coordinate repairs of equipment with Mechanic.
• Responsible for paperwork to include completion of Check In/Out Forms, Bills of Lading, and Work Orders
• A positive attitude and a team mentality.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• Reliable, Punctual and Efficient.
• Ability to understand and execute company guidelines and requests from management.
• Responsible to maintain required licensing for driving company vehicles.
• Physical/Working Requirements & Ability to work inside shop and office, and outside in yard or at customer locations. Ability to work on uneven ground and near a variety of equipment in all types of weather. Work may be performed underneath equipment, and there is the possibility of exposure to dust and noise. Must utilize personal protective equipment as required. Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean MVR, as well as pass a drug screening (including marijuana) and background check.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 – 48 per week
