LoRusso Law Firm is seeking an experienced, full-time litigation personal injury paralegal to join our Coastal Office in Brunswick, Georgia. The position supports two personal injury attorneys on moderate to high value, complex personal injury plaintiff’s cases. Tasks
Daily Duties:
- Correspond with clients, staff, attorneys, and the Courts via phone, email, and letters
- Review and proof own work and work of others
- Manage and track important case deadlines
- Make sure attorney calendars are up to date with all case deadlines and events
- Assist in collecting case information such as employment, medical, and other records
- Schedule depositions, court reporters, and videographers
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, and discovery, if requested
- Open client files (electronic and paper)
- Notarize documents as necessary (Firm will pay fees to obtain notary seal, if necessary)
- Assist with the intake process for potential clients
- Utilize case management software to organize, maintain, and track cases
- Attend in-person meetings with clients
Weekly Duties:
- Maintain updated per-litigation and litigation client lists
- Ensure that client files remain updated and current including scanning documents into electronic client files
- Meet with attorneys weekly to track progress and next steps on cases
Occasional Duties:
- Travel to Courthouse to file documents, obtain certified copies of records, or obtain subpoenas
- Travel to locations within ten miles of office to pick up documents, etc.
Skill and Attribute Profile
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Proficient in using the Internet and search engines to locate information
- Proficient in e-filing
- Knowledge of civil procedure, civil documents and filings, and client file management
- Experience using Zoom, Dropbox, and DocuSign
- Experience using case management software is preferred but not required
- Experience using Westlaw is preferred but not required
General Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including editing and proofing
- Strong organizational and time management skills including ability to aggressively manage deadlines set by attorney
- Ability to critically analyze situations and information to arrive at a decision independently
- Ability and willingness to learn new things quickly

Previous Experience and Education:
- 3-5 years previous experience as a paralegal in a civil litigation firm, plaintiff’s experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred but not required
- Paralegal certificate strongly preferred but not required
