Role : Health Information Exchange Coordinator
Location : 570 East Woodrow Wilson Avenue - Jackson, MS - Onsite
Contract Role
Description of the job functions the contractor will be expected to perform.
- Work as HIE Coordinator, establish working relationships with both relevant national and state leve HINs / HIEs.
- Use the contractor's knowledge of public health, act as a business analyst and work with relevant programs to identify use cases and value of QHIN / HIE connections.
- Develop specific information sharing processes to inform all programs of QHIN / HIE progress and value, serve as HIE proponent.
- Monitor the value of the implemented connections and collaborate with programs and the QHIN / HIE to resolve data issues, expand QHIN / HIE services, etc.
- Represent as its HIE Coordinator, attend, facilitate, and coordinate meetings, as needed, with other public health related stakeholders relevant to HIE Plan (e.g. Department of Medicaid, Department of Health Services, Department of Mental Health, Federally Qualified Health Center's, etc.).
- Attend relevant national webinars related to QHINs and other national HIN efforts.
- Keep MSDH leadership abreast and up to date on evolving / changing QHIN / HIE needs and requirements relevant to public health objectives.
