Job Description :
- The Mainframe Developer will design, develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe-based applications and systems. The role requires strong expertise in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS, and DB2, along with the ability to analyze and optimize existing systems to meet business requirements efficiently.
- Key Responsibilities :
- Application Development :
Design and develop high-performing, scalable mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and CICS.
Perform data modeling and optimization for VSAM and DB2.
Analyze user requirements, workflows, and system architecture to design robust mainframe solutions.
Integrate mainframe systems with other enterprise systems.
Provide ongoing support, troubleshoot production issues, and apply fixes in a timely manner.
Document application workflows, data models, and system changes.
Work with cross-functional teams, including QA, DevOps, and project managers, to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, and DB2.
Familiarity with integration technologies such as MQ Series or web services.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5 years of experience in mainframe application development and support.
