Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in case preparation, including legal research, drafting documents, and trial preparation.
- Prepare and file legal documents, pleadings, and court forms in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Maintain and organize case files, client records, and legal correspondence.
- Conduct research on statutes, regulations, and case law to support legal arguments.
- Communicate professionally with clients, court officials, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
- Manage deadlines, court schedules, and appointments to ensure timely case progression.
- Assist with discovery processes, including document review, drafting responses, and summarizing depositions.
- Coordinate trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and preparing witness materials.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program.
- 2 years of experience as a Paralegal, preferably in litigation, personal injury, or civil law.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and case management practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal research tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with case management software is a plus.
