Key Responsibilities
- Design and draft plumbing systems for residential, commercial, and light industrial projects.
- Create efficient plumbing layouts and specifications for multi-family and institutional facilities.
- Select, size, and specify plumbing fixtures, drains, and equipment based on project requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and maintain project work plans.
- Ensure compliance with design schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Assist in coordinating designs with other disciplines, including HVAC and electrical.
- Review plumbing system designs for accuracy, efficiency, and code compliance.
- Utilize software tools such as AutoDesk Revit MEP to produce detailed designs and drawings.
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in designing and drafting plumbing systems for residential, commercial, institutional, or light industrial projects.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology is a plus.
- Proficiency in AutoDesk Revit MEP and strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork.
- Solid understanding of plumbing system components, including fixtures, piping, and drainage.
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and plumbing system regulations.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
