Job Description:-
Design, Develop, and Maintain COBOL Programs:
Write, test, and debug COBOL programs to meet business needs.
Modify and update existing COBOL programs to improve performance or accommodate changes in business processes.
Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions.
System Analysis and Integration:
Analyze system requirements and work closely with users to deliver effective solutions.
Collaborate with other IT professionals to integrate COBOL programs with other systems.
Ensure data security and integrity in all COBOL applications.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users to ensure smooth operations.
Conduct troubleshooting and debug programs as needed.
Maintain documentation of program development and subsequent revisions.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures.
Ensure compliance with coding standards and technical design.
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in COBOL programming and best practices.
Experience:
Proven experience as a Mainframe (COBOL) Programmer/Analyst.
Strong experience with JCL, PROCS, and CTLCARDS.
Experience with RMDS, EXPEDITER, and File-Aid for IMS/DB2.
