QUALIFICATIONS 
Previous successful wrestling coaching experience at the high school level 
Commitment to Los Alamitos Unified School District’s mission, vision and priority goals 
Knowledge of skills, strategies, and safe procedures in wrestling 
Ability to teach the fundamentals of the sport 
Positively lead and organize a team inclusive of parents, students, and staff 
Develop and foster positive working relationships with students, parents, staff, and community 
Direct, coordinate, and supervise the activities of the wrestling staff to include planning,

organizing and coaching; ensure compliance with District, League and CIF policies and
regulations 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and work
closely with a wide range of stakeholders 

Work with people in a constructive manner under stressful situations 
Ability learn laws, rules, policies, practices and procedures related to public education and

specific to Los Alamitos Unified School District 
Attend required meetings and workshops as designated by the District 
Ability to be flexible and revise priorities in accordance with requirements of the

Superintendent/designee 
Successful classroom teaching experience preferred should teaching assignment be available

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES 
First Aid/CPR 
CIF Certificate

SALARY AND BENEFITS 
Coaching Stipend Range $4,127
