QUALIFICATIONS
Previous successful wrestling coaching experience at the high school level
Commitment to Los Alamitos Unified School District’s mission, vision and priority goals
Knowledge of skills, strategies, and safe procedures in wrestling
Ability to teach the fundamentals of the sport
Positively lead and organize a team inclusive of parents, students, and staff
Develop and foster positive working relationships with students, parents, staff, and community
Direct, coordinate, and supervise the activities of the wrestling staff to include planning,
organizing and coaching; ensure compliance with District, League and CIF policies and
regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and work
closely with a wide range of stakeholders
Work with people in a constructive manner under stressful situations
Ability learn laws, rules, policies, practices and procedures related to public education and
specific to Los Alamitos Unified School District
Attend required meetings and workshops as designated by the District
Ability to be flexible and revise priorities in accordance with requirements of the
Superintendent/designee
Successful classroom teaching experience preferred should teaching assignment be available
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES
First Aid/CPR
CIF Certificate
SALARY AND BENEFITS
Coaching Stipend Range $4,127
