What You Will Do

The Los Alamos National Laboratory's Office of General Counsel (OGC) addresses an array of cutting-edge legal issues arising from all aspects of the Laboratory's work, ranging from complex business matters, to intellectual property questions, to novel environmental issues, to employment and labor law, and OGC does so in counseling, transactional, and litigation settings. You will provide legal support to OGC attorneys working in these areas, investigating facts, researching applicable law, drafting memoranda, and participating in meetings where decisions are made or in proceedings where legal impacts occur. And you will be doing so at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, a multidisciplinary research and design institution whose actions have a direct impact on national security and the boundaries of science.
