What You Will Do
The Weapons Facilities Operations (WFO) Division is seeking an Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. WFO is responsible for facilitating mission execution at DARHT (Accelerator Facility), the High Explosives (HE) Sciences, Firing and Detonator Facilities and at the Weapons Engineering Tritium Facility (WETF). This position will be onsite.
The selected candidate will report to the WFO Operations Support Group Leader and work directly with the WETF operations and program management, playing a pivotal role in achieving our strategic goals and maintaining our high standards of performance. This individual will be responsible for a multitude of tasks, including but not limited to, writing and editing technical documents, research and apply best practices in both procedure writing and readiness program implementation, and track and schedule actions for facility and organization readiness. They will craft clear and comprehensive technical documentation and perform editing to support our projects and operations. Additionally, the candidate will identify opportunities for optimization and implement innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement in process development and improvement.
This position will be filled at the Operations Specialist 2. This position is full-time onsite.
Specifically, the Operations Specialist 2 will :
- Provide customer service to internal customers and external customers.
- Provide direct support of operations in programs, facilities, or organizations that have an operational or process-based deliverable.
- Ensure that processes are followed through to completion with efficiency, accuracy, and with high quality, while understanding and maintaining priorities.
- Assist with and coordinate the review and revision of procedures, scope, and process development and improvement pertaining to organizational or facility operations.
- Provide issues management support for a diverse range of complex issues where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors, including the compilation, review, and assessment of data and the development of management assessments and / or recommendations.
- Contribute to the organization's goals and objectives.
- Work under limited direction; receive general instructions on new assignments. Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
