What You Will Do
The Supply Chain Management organization within the Weapons Production Directorate at Los Alamos National Laboratory (TRIAD) is looking for an exceptional Controlled Storage Custodian to join the Supply Chain Management Group (SCL-2). The selected candidate will manage construction, and facility related material for the Associate Lab Director for Weapons Production (ALDWP). This is a vital part of ensuring construction, and facility milestones and deliverables are met. Candidate will utilize multiple inventory management systems to maintain and verify inventory levels as well as ensure item traceability. Ensure items are stored on shelves and organized in a manner that will ensure expeditious item retrieval. Responsible for locating, pulling and staging material for construction related activities. Ensure material pulled is the correct Management Level (ML) for end use application and complies with applicable codes and standards. Comply with institution-controlled storage procedures, P330-11, 12 and 13. Ensure material is controlled, defined storage level requirements are met, shelf life enforcement, accuracy of inventory records, and maintenance or special handling of quality-affecting items. This candidate will maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining a clean receiving area; comply with procedures, rules, and regulations; work cohesively in a team environment; provide high level of attention to detail; and exhibit strong organizational skills. Due to staffing needs this position will be in support of the second shift, scheduled hours 2:30pm to 1am Monday through Thursday.
This position will be filled at either the Production Control Specialist 1 or 2 level, depending on the skills of the selected candidate.

Material Management

Work Schedule: This position may require 24/7 coverage, which could involve working a shift schedule. Employees may be eligible for shift differential pay when assigned by their manager. Shift assignments are at the discretion of the manager.
