What You Will Do
The Operational Readiness organization within the Weapons Production Directorate at Los Alamos National Laboratory (TRIAD) is looking for an exceptional Controlled Storage Custodian to join the Supply Chain Logistics (SCL-2). The selected candidate will effectively and compliantly manage construction, programmatic, and facility related material for the Associate Lab Director for Weapons Production (ALDWP). This is a vital part of ensuring construction, and facility milestones and deliverables are met. Candidate will utilize multiple inventory management systems to maintain and verify inventory levels as well as ensure item traceability. Ensure items are stored on shelves and organized in a manner that will ensure expeditious item retrieval. Responsible for locating, pulling and staging material for construction related activities. Ensure material pulled is the correct Management Level (ML) for end use application and complies with applicable codes and standards. Comply with institution-controlled storage procedures, P330-11, 12 and 13. Ensure material is controlled, defined storage levels are met, shelf life enforcement, accuracy of inventory records, and maintenance or special handling of quality-affecting items. This candidate will maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining a clean receiving area; comply with procedures, rules, and regulations; work cohesively in a team environment; provide high level of attention to detail; and exhibit strong organizational skills.
This position will assist in building a cohesive, high performing team, direct the daily work activity to meet deliverables and supervise the execution of work in alignment with the organizations' goals. The team lead will maintain full knowledge and understanding of warehouse processes, supply chain management and will direct the team activities to ensure all materials and equipment are stored effectively and compliantly. The selected candidate will assist in developing processes and procedures, desktop instructions and training. This candidate will assist the Manufacturing Support Manager 3 (MM3) in resolving complex warehouse issues. Candidate will attend high priority IPT meetings and provide status updates and reports to customers. Candidate will be responsible to ensure pre-jobs and post-jobs are being performed, and that safety practices and protocols are being used at all times. This position will assist with personnel management, forecasting for the staffing plans, performance management and employee hiring and onboarding. As a working lead, this individual will continue to receive, pull, stage and issue material. This is a vital role to ensuring construction meet milestones and deliverables.
