Position Summary :

The Community Grants Lead, Incubator Projects Liaison, and Foundation Contracts Manager plays a critical role in overseeing and managing the foundation’s grants programs, supporting incubator projects, and ensuring compliance with foundation grant contracts. This position will be responsible for facilitating the entire lifecycle of grantmaking—from developing relationships with applicants to overseeing funded projects—and ensuring that contracts and partnerships align with foundation policies and goals.

The ideal candidate will have experience in grant management, a passion for community development, and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across various sectors. This multifaceted role requires a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Community Grants Lead :
  • Grant Program Management : Oversee the foundation’s community grant programs, from application processes to post-award reporting, ensuring that funds are effectively allocated and aligned with community needs and foundation goals.
  • Grant Cycle Coordination : Manage grant cycles including application review, selection, and award processes. Provide technical assistance and guidance to applicants during application submission.
  • Applicant Support & Relationship Management : Build and maintain relationships with potential grantees, offering support and guidance through the application and reporting process. Act as a point of contact for grantees.
  • Grant Compliance & Reporting : Ensure that grant recipients comply with reporting requirements and deadlines. Review financial and programmatic reports from grantees, ensuring appropriate use of funds.
  • Impact Measurement : Track the progress and outcomes of funded projects, assisting in the evaluation of grant effectiveness and reporting on the impact to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Incubator Projects Liaison :
  • Project Support : Act as a liaison between the foundation and community incubator projects, providing ongoing support, mentorship, and resources to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Partnership Development : Foster relationships with local organizations, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders involved in incubator projects, identifying opportunities for collaboration and resource sharing.
  • Project Monitoring : Track the progress of incubator projects, ensuring they meet milestones, timelines, and objectives. Assist in identifying and addressing challenges or gaps that may arise.
  • Capacity Building : Assist incubator projects with capacity-building efforts, providing tools, workshops, and resources that help strengthen their operational and financial sustainability.
  • Reporting & Evaluation : Collect data on incubator project outcomes and share insights with the foundation’s leadership team to guide decision-making and inform future project support.
  • Foundation Contract Oversight :
  • Contract Review and Compliance : Oversee the review, negotiation, and execution of contracts related to grants, incubator projects, and partnerships, ensuring that all contractual agreements are in compliance with foundation policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management : Monitor the performance of contractors and grant recipients to ensure that contractual terms are met, and address any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the course of the agreement.
  • Contract Renewals and Amendments : Manage the process for contract renewals, amendments, or extensions, ensuring that all changes are in alignment with the foundation’s priorities and objectives.
  • Collaboration & Reporting :
  • Internal Collaboration : Work closely with the foundation’s program and finance teams to ensure the effective implementation of grant-funded projects and incubator initiatives. Provide necessary financial oversight and ensure alignment with overall foundation goals.
  • Board & Stakeholder Reporting : Prepare regular updates for the board of directors, funders, and other stakeholders on the status of grants, incubator projects, and contractual matters.
  • External Relations : Represent the foundation at community meetings, conferences, and other events, promoting awareness of the foundation’s programs and strengthening relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
  • Qualifications :
  • Education :
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience :
  • 3-5 years of experience in grant management, community development, or a related field. Experience in incubator projects or start-up ecosystem support is a plus.
  • Familiarity with contract management, compliance, and risk assessment.
  • Proven track record of successful project management, from inception through implementation and evaluation.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including community leaders, nonprofit organizations, local governments, and businesses.
  • Skills :
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to track and meet deadlines, manage budgets, and assess project performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and support grantees, incubator project teams, and community stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with contract management and compliance processes.
  • Strong writing and reporting skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, or similar).

Compensation :

Pay range is $38 / hr - $44.5 / hr. Benefits package includes flexible work schedule, 403b retirement plan and opportunities for professional development.
