SUMMARY :
Under the direction of the Mental Health Director,the Licensed Program Manager (PM) assists with daily management and operations of the Mental Health Department and provides mental health treatment services to homeless and underserved populations presenting with complex medical and psycho-social problems on Los Angeles Skid Row and in Boyle Heights. The PM works alongside other professionals in multidisciplinary teams in order to deal with complex patient problems. The PM demonstrates Christ-like behaviors and attitudes in all job duties and responsibilities, supporting LACHC’s mission “to follow Christ by loving and serving our neighbors through comprehensive, quality health care.”
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provides direct services to patients for 25-50% of time (e.g., screenings, assessments, diagnoses, individual and group therapies, referrals) per the needs of the program.
- Documents all assessments, diagnoses, care plans, interventions and referrals in our electronic medical records system.
- Provides consultation services to multi-disciplinary team members regarding the mental health conditions of patients within an integrated care model (i.e., integration of primary and behavioral health care).
- Under the direction of the Mental Health Director, works collaboratively with other departments to develop procedures and workflows for the implementation of mental health programs.
- Participates actively as a member of LACHC Leadership Team, providing input and assisting in setting the Clinic’s direction.
- Assists with planning, assigning, directing, and evaluating the work of mental health personnel.
- Monitors department billing, and works with the billing department to ensure efficiency and sustainability.
- Provides administrative and clinical supervision to program staff and / or graduate trainees to ensure all services are delivered according to local, state and federal laws and in compliance with contractual requirements and to ensure quality of care for all mental health homeless patients and families presenting with complex medical and psycho-social problems.
- Assists with payroll timesheets, employee expense reimbursement requests, leave requests, etc. to ensure that submissions are complete, accurate, and in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
- Participates in the hiring and orientation process of new staff members.
- Together with the Mental Health Director and Human Resources, assists with managing mental health personnel (inclusive of employees, interns, and volunteers) on corrective measures and disciplinary actions
- Assists with data reports, memos, write-ups, and grant reports as needed.
- Assists with collaboration with graduate schools for placements, trainings, and evaluations of mental health trainees.
- Assists with supervising students, interns and mental health volunteers providing services at LACHC.
- Participates in group supervision and case conferences for the discussion of specific patients as well as sharing of training materials and best practices.
- Represents LACHC at local collaborative meetings, conferences, and community events as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Salary : $63,378 - $95,068
