What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credentials Clerk position at Los Angeles County Fair Assn Fairgrounds?
The Credentials Clerk performs a broad range of administrative duties and reports directly to the Ticketing Supervisor. This position is responsible for selling, receiving, and processing tickets and parking credentials for Fairplexs self-produced events or event credential orders for a third party. Additionally the credentials clerk supports the year round production of employee and partner identification for Fairplex grounds and parking access.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answering a high volume of incoming calls with proper phone etiquette
- Answer emails and assist with on-site inquiries and issues
- Assist the Ticketing Supervisor and Credentials Lead to ensure all reporting numbers are up-to-date and accurate
- Filing paperwork alphabetically
- Entering data on Excel spreadsheets
- Run ticketing reports for departments as needed
- Selling, taking, and processing admission, parking, concert, and attraction tickets for customers
- Processing orders from various departments
- Process badge request forms for various departments, assist FinishLine with VIP cards, and process access cards
- Query database for cross-promotional activities
- Ensure customer needs are met and all reporting numbers are accurate
- Process Purchase Orders and Work Orders
- Perform other duties as required
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
- Completion of high school education or GED
- Must possess strong oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel is necessary
- Must have good general computer skills
- Ability to type 40 wpm
- Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong understanding of customer service
- Ability to work well with people
- Ability to communicate on the telephone effectively
- Fluency in another language is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB
- Must be able to work in extreme weather, such as heat, cold, or rain
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Must be able to move around the office and fairgrounds
- Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds
- Must be able to climb up and down stairs and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to use a telephone, hand-held radio, and computer
