What are the responsibilities and job description for the Milking Parlor Assistant Supervisor position at Los Angeles County Fair Assn Fairgrounds?
The Milking Parlor Assistant Supervisor will support the Milking Parlor Supervisor in the set-up and day-to-day functions of the Milking Parlor during the LA County Fair.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate the milking of all dairy cattle in the Milking Parlor
- Coordinate disposal of the raw milk
- Support the supervisor in hiring and scheduling all employees for the Milking Parlor including shifts on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- Supervise staff and support any needs when the Milking Parlor Supervisor is off duty
- Assist in the safety and training of all employees Maintain all areas of dairy display clean and presentable
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Experience with Dairy Cows, current working knowledge of facility standards and California health standards required.
Must be comfortable with scheduling staff, communicating via phone, text or email. Available Knowledge of PayCom a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB
Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Able to stand for a long period of time with reasonable accommodations.
