What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parking Assistant Manager position at Los Angeles County Fair Assn Fairgrounds?
The position is responsible for assisting with the management of daily operations and parking services, procedures and standards, and staff recruitment, training and supervision.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as parking and traffic representative during Fair.
- Ensures that the highest level of parking and traffic services are provided to all users of the facility.
- Ensures that all parking and traffic personnel are trained and carry out their duties and responsibilities in a professional manner.
- Reviews and approves the preparation of all reports.
- Issues discipline or dismissal of parking and traffic employees in accordance with the employee hand
- Assists in inspecting parking lots for operational issues and works with other departments to insure readiness of grounds.
- Plans and coordinates support services
- Reviews the assignment forms for Fair, personnel and hours worked.
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Experience managing parking and transportation.
Previous supervisory experience is essential.
Must have excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing
Must possess good organizational skills and be able to perform in fast paced environment.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required
- Must be able to move around grounds
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time
- Must be able to inspect all areas of the grounds
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have a California Driver License and a clean driving record
