What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parking Rover position at Los Angeles County Fair Assn Fairgrounds?
The Parking Rover takes point with parking attendants. The Lead will assist guests with any issues that arise.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accurately track team members, including shift changes and breaks, to ensure proper staffing at all times
- Consistently practice safe work habits and verify that all staff has necessary safety equipment, including safety vests, flashlights, radios, umbrellas (if necessary) and water
- Decides where staff is placed and moved
- Stay on top of operations in the lot to ensure everything runs smoothly
- Become familiar with the campus
- Set up and maintain parking lots for various events
- Establish and maintain a positive atmosphere which ensures the highest level of team members performance and guest service, while enforcing and complying with safety procedures and guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
- Able to interact with a large number of guests, while maintaining a professional demeanor and providing superior guest services
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to multi-task
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to move around the fairgrounds
- Must be able to work in extreme weather, such as heat, cold, or rain
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
