What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barn Staff position at Los Angeles County Fair Association?
Works within a fast paced environment to meet the demands of multiple projects simultaneously. Will assist in the operations and cleanliness of assigned exhibit attraction. Is responsible for working in an assigned attraction during Fair, assisting guests with costumes, crafts and coloring, hands-on elements, activities as well as additional projects and day to day activities within the attraction.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Use your customer service abilities and provide assistance to Fair guests during the L.A. County Fair
Will assist fair guests with elements and activities
Ensure that exhibit stays in neat and working order by replacing costumes so they are always ready for the next guest
Assists guests with Fair related and attraction specific questions, as well as providing customer service to all guests
Works within the Programming Department in creating unique exhibits and attractions for guests
Perform other duties as assigned

Skilled in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks and demands
Must demonstrate sound decision making
Must enjoy working with guests of all ages, including children
Must be a team player, with solid work and behavior ethics
Physical Requirements of the Job:
Must be able to perform up to 8 hours per day, with regular breaks
Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds
Must be able to work in extreme weather, such as heat, cold, or rain
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be able to work every day of the L.A. County Fair
Must have reliable transportation to and from work
