What are the responsibilities and job description for the Exhibit Staff position at Los Angeles County Fair Association?
Exhibit staff provides clerical assistance for Fair competitions and works within a fast paced environment to meet the demands of multiple projects simultaneously. They assist in creating approved attractions including but not limited to: set design, decorating photo props, creating entrances to various attractions, and decorating vignettes. They are responsible for assisting in pre-Fair events, set-up, working in an assigned attraction during Fair, and assisting with additional projects and day to day activities within each attraction.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide clerical assistance to Programming Department including data entry, preparing paperwork for Fair competitions.
- Assisting in pre-Fair set up for attractions and exhibits.
- Works within the Programming Department in creating unique exhibits and attractions for guests.
- Must work with others in creating sets, decorating photo props, and decorating vignettes.
- Will assist the Programming Department with various competitions including but not limited to: Home Arts and the Culinary Kitchen, adult and youth categories.
- Must provide excellent customer service in attractions and throughout the grounds.
- Performing other duties as required by the Programming Department.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required during the Fair
- Ability to walk and stand for 8 hours a day
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
- Must be available to work every day of the LA County Fair
